You have to sing from your stomach.

To properly enjoy and produce your most powerful notes you must sing from your diaphragm.

Stand against a wall with your back straight.
Place one hand on your stomach.
Now breathe in and out.
If you are breathing diaphragmatically correct, your stomach will move OUT when you breathe in and will move IN when you breathe out.

Practice this until it becomes your new way of breathing. Then when you sing, sing from your gut.
Take a diaphragmatic breath (make sure your stomach goes out)
And release your note. You should notice a clearer pitch and a stronger sound immediately.

It means your voice is not being projected properly. So it sounds like it is coming from your throat and not out your mouth. Buy a vocal dvd and see if that can help you. But your gonna have to break yourself of the habbit of singing the way you do now. Project your voice.

It means your throat is tense, most likely. And it is probably true as well that you are not breathing low enough. I agree with the person who said there is no replacement for one-on-one instruction, you need to have at least a few lessons to get on track so you don't damage your voice over time.

you're think to sing which incorporate your vocal chords purely, so attempt to take a seat back all rigidity interior the neck, face, and tongue. Make an "aaahhh" sound as in case you have been conversing. it particularly is the type you ought to sing. i'm uncertain what you mean via singing via your throat, yet make confident everywhere the sound is coming from, it isnt constrainted via the encompassing muscle tissue.

It means you're tryint to use your throat to produce sound, which is constricting the air passageway. You need to relax and concentrate on using the air taken not only from the diaphragm, but also from the lungs. Let your throat relax and allow your vocal chords to do what they already know how to do. One excercise I use is to practice scales in a "kermit the frog" voice, which actually helps you to relax the muscles in your throat - but speak with your coach first.

my first singing teach told me that. What they mean is you need to sing using the same muscle you use when you go to the toilet. This is called the Diaphram it is used to push when you go from one end and used in reverse will allow you to sing like an angel!!!!!! Good Luck !!!!!

you're not projecting properly
try this
put on a song that you know if you'd like, and sing to it lying on your back
take deep breaths with your tummy (not your chest)
to control your breathing for holding notes for a long time, try puting a book on your stomach
not too heavy not too light
when you're singing, try aiming for a loud and powerful tone
you won't know if it's working if you sing softly

just a bit of advice that i learned with experience:
don't be afraid of your singing voice
sometimes my house is dead quiet and i try singing those high notes and i think to myself 'my voice sounds weird and unreal'
it's perfectly normal and don't let that stop you from singing

good luck!!

It means that you are only giving half the effort, or that you are not "trained".
Go somewhere where you can practice, and really put it out.
when you have it right, you will feel your middle flexing.
This is the diaphram.
To get to it, try singing "from" your stomach.

Good luck!

I once knew a guy who had taken singing lessons. Absolutely incredible difference it made in his singing. Nothing replaces one-on-one instruction.
