I'm confused between:
1. a YAMAHA F-310
2. a Hohner
3. an old Maya

my problem is, that I can't gather the 3 of them in one place. they are far apart & so I can't sit somewhere & play them so I get which one feels right. I have played them all, but far apart so I don't remember when playing the second one that it sounds better than the first one or not... So I'm looking to see which make is better.

I would go with the yamaha. The ones I've played were good, sturdy guitars with a nice warm sound that will last for years. Furthermore, I recall they have a very forgiving fretboard, so your fingers won't tire so quickly.

I guess I'm not a connoisseur on guitars but almost every yamaha I've heard sounds great. Just pick one that has the best overall sound and feels good to you.

Okay so it just happened to be that the same day I answered this, I went to a guitar store and I ended up buying a Hohner acoustic. It sounds great. Good priced and great sound you can't beat it. I would recommned it to you. The owner of the store waited until his Takamine rep was gone to tell me that he can't seem to keep the Hohner's on the shelf and he's ordered a bunch of them for the holiday season.

Pick them up and play with them. Whichever one feels and sounds the best to you is the one to pick.
