I have an audition tonight for the show "Children Of Eden". My nervousness gets the best of me when it comes to singing, so I force it and my vibrato becomes thick and uncomfortable. Any tips on keeping a relaxed singing voice during an audition?

I'm a singer, but I've only been trained in my head voice, operatic singing, etc. I'm interested in broadening my talent, and I'm wondering if anyone can explain belting to me. Obviously, I'm not going to try it unless under my vocal instructor's supervision, but I'm just looking for some tips on belting.

I was recently casted to play Aladdin for a local theater group's production of Aladdin (duh), but my schedule conflicts with my Honor Choir's evening rehearsals. I have to decide between the two in 12 hours.

I really would like to be in Aladdin because two months ago I auditioned for another musical with great anticipation for a lead role, but didn't make the cut. This would be my chance to show off to my friends and surprise my family. Plus, my sister loves Aladdin, and she would really love it, I know it.

But with Honor Choir, it's something I've already spent a great deal of work on, and I've already paid for half the cost of our trip to San Antonio. If I quit, all my friends would be disappointed (I don't know anybody from the cast of Aladdin except the director) along with the choir director. Honor Choir is something I could just join again next semester, but it's really a big deal to be in one of the best choirs in the state...

My throat hurts when I hit particularly high notes, and sometimes becomes a little hoarse. I usually stop singing when this happens. Is it really bad for my throat? Do I have a raised larynx? Are these connected in anyway? Will it adversely affect singing ability?

I write songs and I would like to perform them. I know how to sing a little but not really well. A lot of people tell me I have a nice voice, but I don't know how to hold notes very long, and I am afraid of going to classes or anything like that.

My 10 year old wants a Broadway themed bedroom. What colour to paint the walls? What "extras" can I do to make it special? She has lots of posters, awards and autographs, is that enough? How to frame them to make them stand out?
Any suggestions appreciated.

I like to sing but I think my voice is too good to be confined to the bathroom. Is there any place where I can be paid to sing, rather than pay to sing? Anyway, whether people pay me to sing or pay me to stop singing, I don't mind - provided the latter pays more than the former. Any singing "lobang", pls let me know.
