I have perfect pitch. I never took formal musical lessons past 3rd grade, I can play the guitar, drums, piano (a little) and sing. My 2nd grade viola teacher told me I have perect pitch, my 3rd grade drum teacher told me I should not play drums because they will not be challenging enough and I should play classical symphony. my 6th grade chorus teacher made me headline the concert with a solo in front of the entire school. I have never persued music beyond goofing around with friends.

My question is this. Is perfect pitch rare and is it in any demand career wise? Can I and should I make money from this talent?

I have a solo and ensemble competition on Saturday, and as it is flu season, my vioce seems to be withering away...

I just bought some throat lozzenges (sp?) called Slippery Elms... and i'm assuming that the bad taste means that it's working?

I also got a throat spray called, "Vocal Rescue," and i'm wondering if that was a good idea, i haven't used it yet.

Do you guys have any other suggestions? THankyou!

When will I get the high notes again, and is there anything I can do to get it back quicker? Is there any exercises I can do to make me a stronger singer? I have asthma also and I use Albuterol. It sometimes seems to work against me. Any tips?

My partner, a girl, and I are in a high school theatre competition. We are going to sing a duet. I am a bass/tenor 2 and my partner is a soprano/alto. What good comedic duet could we sing? It has to be something published, and preferably from Broadway. It CANNOT be anything like mainstream pop or rock; it has to have been performed on Broadway. Thanks!!!

I am a bassist who loves to play bass, but I would love to play a little bit of guitar on the side. I can't stand the thinness of a normal guitar's strings; would a baritone make more sense? Also, does anyone make a cheap baritone?

Thanks in advance!

acting!
maybe I would like to write? But,
I would like secruity in terms of jobs and "chedda".

what career path could I take?

Im interested in the arts but still feel its important to get a good career. I feel like Im competeing with family and friends who have done well in life, I dont really want to be the one actor whose starving and poor amongst relatives who went to college on scholarships and earn 3.8 GPA's. Thats all my mom ever tells me, and I get no support. I dont want to pursue something I get no support for. I dont need that extra pressure.

But if I turn my back on arts, I feel like Im missing out on something that could have been huge for me.
I dont know how to snap out of it. I feel embarassed to say I like acting but yet still think about it. I wonder if Im starrstruck and if I am actually serious. I've never acted before, and havent played an instrument in years!

HOW DO I GET OUT OF THIS MESS!?
HOW DO I SNAP OUT OF IT ENTER THE REAL WORLD?

im scared
