I am a bassist who loves to play bass, but I would love to play a little bit of guitar on the side. I can't stand the thinness of a normal guitar's strings; would a baritone make more sense? Also, does anyone make a cheap baritone?

Thanks in advance!

Do you know I've played bass and lead for a very long time and never yet tried a baritone.

I have friends who don't like them and friends who do (mainly arguments about versatility and "colour").

You can certainly get tham at reasonable prices - perhaps a used model may be the answer ?

no want for snark, Tony B. it is fairly an exceptionally potential setup, in case you employ the 4 lowest strings in a baritone set. length ought to be ok, yet i might circulate with the Slinkys that have a tendency to run somewhat longer. sounds like a funky theory fairly. I think of an open tuning might produce some heavy tones with the splendid amp settings. sturdy success.
