I have been to 2 univerities as a Music Major(vocal perfomance). i will be moving soon but i dont know where to yet(my husband is in the military). I just wanted to look into what schools have the best programs in different states before hand. I really want to do music theater but just music is fine. ive been thinking about changing to education instead of performance so that would be alright too. please help if you know of any. thanks.

The Steve Hurst School of Music in Nashville is awesome! They cover a variety of vocal, sound, presentation, instrumental, and writing instruction. I have participated for 4 years with a conference they hold here in Virginia with Steve Hurst himself and an incredible voice coach named Steven Nix. This guy is amazing!!!!!!!!!!! He also has been a voice coach for American Idol, and personal coach for quite a few famous singers. You should check out their website. I have a link listed here for you. They specialize in praise and worship, but the most accomplished voices and beautiful voices stem from praise and worship.

University of Nothern Colorado (UNC) has some great programs, as well as CU in Boulder. I have a friend who graduated from UNC and has a steady job now at Boulder's Dinner Theatre, and another person is an undergrad at CU in Boulder who also works there, but both colleges have good programs for education majors as well.
