I'm working on an important project, and I just wanted to know a little bit more about the plate armor that knights wore in the Middle Ages (no particular dates/years). Now, I know that knights wore this armor to protect themselves in battle. Did they just wear it during battle, or could they wear it for any other special occasion? And how much could plate armor weigh? Was it light enough for someone of average strength to deal with, or did you have to be in shape to wear it? How easy was it to move in plate armor? Could someone in plate armor to things like sprinting, jumping on/off a horse, rolling, climbing, and even swimming? Did knights ever wear anything under their plate armor (besides underwear, of course), like basic clothing? Or did thy keep their clothing limited, to avoid getting hot and sweaty? Did putting on plate armor take the help of an extra person (like a servant) to put it on, or could someone do it by themselves? And what about gauntlets--did they cover your...

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm just not overly familiar with Pakistan's history. It's a country's history for me overall, is just not that interesting.

And I wouldn't be asking any question about it, if it weren't for the fact that they are a nuclear power, and that it seems to be coming apart over Bhutto's assasination.

So, if anyone knows with certainly, how this came about - with specifics of how, who, when and why they became one - I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Alberich

that WERE of BLACK decent.
If you don't know, that's alright. Just, study American History and Heritage. Even though Bill Clinton is said to be the first Black President (in jest), it is not proven on paper as of yet. Who knows in joking, there might be some truth, but that would make him the 5or 6th. Thank you ahead of time for your answers. Why is this not taught in Public Schools?

In the 80's Mugabe was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Matabele, if something had been done then Zimbabwe might not be in the situation it is now. And why does it seem that all the African Leaders are scared of him and won't help the poor people suffering there?

1) What arguments are made from holocaust deniers?
2) What's the first statement that comes to mind when you think about holocaust denial? (true or false, does not matter)

I was reading about the October revolution and would like to know how Lenin took power so quickly (it took him just 10 days). I'm guessing it started when Kerensky armed the Bolsheviks against an attempted military coup. I’m aware there is a book called "10 days which shook the world" and a summary would be nice.

As far as I know, World War 1 was mostly confined to Europe and the US entered only in 1917 after the sinking of the Lusitania.

World War 2 really did include many countries, but only the major powers where involved and once again, the US only became involved in 1945 or so, after the bombing of Pearl Harbour.

So what so we need to designate a war as a world war? Can we describe the ongoing hostilities all over the world as the beginnings of another World War, or are they too isolated? Also, can we call the growing tensions between the US and Russia a new Cold War, or are they fundamentally a continuation of the first Cold War?
