the main coutnries, what kid of goverments they had during the war of world war 1 ?

countrys: germany, austria-hungary, italy, frances, russian, great britian, like types og govt, for example comunist democratic monarch etc. ?

Russia--Czar--Empire, revolution,with beginning of democratic state, which failed to end war, then the Communists took power and sued for peace--Absolute monarch, leading to communist..

Germany-Empire, headed by Kaiser, both Kaiser and Czar are derived from Caesar --Absolute monarch.

Duo Kingdom of Austria Hungarian empire--Absolute monarch.

Ottoman Empire--all of the above were non-democratic, royal states--Absolute monarch

Italy--Kingdom, with some democratic institutions. Was allied with Germany, but bagged out joining the war, saying the treaty was if attacked. Italy felt the Germans were the aggressors. Later joined the allies below--Constitutional monarch.

France--Federal Republic---Democracy

United States--Same system as today

United Kingdom--Parliamentary democracy

Note the Russians were with the allies, ie France and the United Kingdom, later USA, but Russia was getting out of the war then.

There were alot more countries involved than those mentioned by the 1st answer, but he or she has answered well. The middle east (excluding the Ottoman Empire) was quite connected though all of this, and many of these were led by monarchs or religious leaders.

Every country but France and the US were royalties one way or another.
France was a Republic (nothing federal about it)
US was already the United States

Switzerland was a Federate state already but as it was neutral I did not count it in.
