I have heard the tune was actually from a song that was sung in "Mens" clubs in London called "An Ode to Anacreon" or 'the Anacreontic song"

It was the brother of Francis Scott Key who realised his brothers poem , "Defence of Fort McHenry" would fit this tune and so was born "the Star Spangled banner"

From the Egyptian empire, to the Greek, to the Roman Empire, to the French Empire, to the British Empire. . All of these well-known long empires has stayed for about centuries to milleniums, but why haven't they lasted forever? These individual empires in their time period was the most superior and advance power in the world, but somehow their power soon declined. What is because of laziness, foreign immigration, lack of compensation, internal turmoil, or is all of these choices?

Which principle of law do you think has been Rome’s greatest contribution to modern legal systems?

THINK ABOUT
- equality before the law
- innocent until proven guilty
- unfair laws could be set aside

Some of the most important principles of Roman law were:
- All persons had the right to equal treatment under the law.
- A person was considered innocent until proven guilty.
- The burden of proof rested with the accuser rather than the accused.
- A person should be punished only for actions, not thoughts.
- Any law that seemed unreasonable or grossly unfair could be set aside.

I've tried looking for answer in my textbook and the internet. Please help! Thanks! :]

Im trying to find the type of music listened to in France around the turn of the century - before WWI and before the roaring twenties. Basically music from the Belle Epoque era. Would anyone be able to guide me to some artists I can look up? The closest thing I can research so far is french "salon" music. But have yet to be able to find any artists from that genre to listen to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
