Can you add to the list or, perhaps, do you believe that any of the so-called causes or origins should be removed from the list? (I shall award the BEST ANSWER to the BEST argument)

Causes and Origins of the American Civil War: A Summary

There were a series of significant events which greatly affected States' Rights, the Union, African Americans and accelerated the American Civil War. These historical events are commonly referred to as the "Causes of the American Civil War" and are listed without significant order: States' Rights (Bill of Rights and the 10th Amendment), High Tariffs, Nullification Crisis, Missouri Compromise, Kansas-Nebraska Act, Manifest Destiny, Dred Scott Case, Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, Bleeding Kansas, Crittenden Compromise, John Brown, and President Abraham Lincoln's election (Lincoln didn't receive a single Southern electoral vote).

Man was not even around when these climate changes ocurred. When i see the concerts being put on by this Flim Flam man i cant help but think of the moonies and Rev. Moon and i hope it doesnt end up like Jonestown.

In other words, what did the US do or not do that helped to start the war, what responsibility could be pinned on US?

2007-07-08 09:49:50 · 12 answers · asked by Anonymous

The US Special Forces pin and Patch, "Kill them all. Let God sort them out." derived from the Albigensian Crusade,1209 by Pope Innocent III against the Cathar heresy, at Bezier, Southern France.

http://www.phrases.org.uk/bulletin_board/42/messages/1108.html

The commander of the crusade, Simon de Montfort, Earl of Leicester, pointed out, not everybody in the city was a heretic. Some were good Catholics. How should they know which weren't? A monk present at the siege recorded the answer of the Papal Legate Crusaders, Arnaud-Amaury, the Abbot of Citeaux, as "Neca eos omnes. Deus suos agnoscet." ("Kill them all. God will know his own." ) So the Crusaders followed his advice and killed everybody they could find in Beziers. Roughly 20,000 men, women and children of the town were slaughtered to comply with the order.

1290 to the 1960s is a long dormancy.

This is just something that sort of popped into my mind. Back in the 90s or whatever when the USSR became about 20 different countries what did they do with all those globes that were for sale with the USSR still on it? Kind of a random question, but seriously, what do they do with all the old globes?
