First, the "style" is the fashion for the name, they specifically (as opposed to the Constitution) spelled out the name. The Constitution did not specifically need that because it was superceding the Articles, where it was specifically described.

Second, the Articles provided for a unicameral congress, not two competing houses (House of Representatives and Senate), plus there was one vote per state, so whether your state had two people or seven in attendance, they had to determine among themselves what was the best vote to represent the state's interests.

Third, the two primary reasons for replacing the Articles was (1) the elasticity of cooperative involvement by the states, and (2) the minimal continuity of administrative aspects of government.
