RFK--the first victim of mid east terrorism?

People often forget that Robert Kennedy was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan, a muslim. Sirhan said he killed Kennedy because of Kennedy's support for Israel? Was Kennedy the first victim of mid east terrorism in the US?

To correct you though, Sirhan, Sirhan was actually a Christian, but I posed the question because I think this was very definately a sign of things to come. The post WWII situation with creating Israel really pissed off the Muslims and has in one way or another lead to all of this today. Not that I think we should not have created Israel only that we have not been and still are not dealing with the repercussions.

Terrorism in and from the mid-east had been going on a long, long while before RFK was killed.

Jews and Muslims left a path of bloodshed across the mid-east with their terrorism from end of WW II until the present.

In fact, if I'm not mistaken, when RFK was killed Greeks and Turks were still terrorizing one another in Cyprus.

And US citizens, all through those years, have occasionally been victims.

Heck, I wonder if the attack on a US destroyer by the Israeli air force and the killing of US servicemen qualifies as terrorism?

Nope. RFK will have to search around to find some other means of posthumously distinguishing himself.

It was probably the American Mafia who were very upset by Kennedy's campaign against them. They like to use assassins who seem to have no connection with them.
