As a young boy in Scotalnd I remember the bitterness of those who had fought in the war(s) when the present Queen was named the First when the UK had never had an E1R. The 1st Elizabeth was English only. On top of that the English play the UK? National Anthem even when they are playing 'locally'. Why not 'Jeruselem'....marvelous. You are displaying unnecessary arrogance...it is only a game!!!!

I had a somewhat heate argument with someone who has alwasy believed that the jewish people is behinfd every world event and that they are the ones who supposedly own all the most powerful world companies, that they influence governments and direct world history, To guys like these, even Hugo Chavez, the electroal fraud in Mexico, wwii, the iraq war, gosh, i mean even modern media culture is seen as the work of the "jews" that are behind all. I can't refute him with reasons, what do you advice, please help. I am not Jewish but I am against Antisemitism in any form, and especially this one sounds to me like one of those crazy conspiracy theories, please help. thanks.

I just finished watching the DVD 1421: The Year that China Discovered America. Fascinating stuff. It all sounded very plausible, but I don't think historians would ever change their ideas on who discovered the "New World". Nonetheless, it is an exciting theory.

The USSR had nucelar weapons in many ex-soviet states, EG Kazakhstan and the Ukraine. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, were the weapons moved to Russia? Do ex-soviet states still have nuclear weapons? or were they all absorbed back into russia, or perhaps destroyed?

I'm always hearing America is supposed to be the freest country in the world. But why? Do you agree? What makes it more democratic or 'free' than other countries, like England? Isn't the president only elected through having money and connections, and then he has too much power to make decisions? What do you think of their democracy? Is America the freest and most democratic country in the world, or is it England?

I'm writing an essay on the French Invasion of Russia.

I will discuss in my essay the French faults which led to Russian victory.

Would this be appropriate thesis/intro:

The French Invasion of Russia was part of the Napoleonic Wars fought in 1812.This essay will focus on the view that it was Napoleon’s most unsuccessful war and will examine the flaws which led to the defeat. The French unawareness of the Russian climate at winter, the great supply shortage armies ran into and the great casualties are the main cause for Russia’s ultimate victory.

Comments, suggestions and critiques much appreciated!
