After asking my question in correlation to Abraham, i realise that most answers do not believe in the Bible as a true story. I do, simply by the virtue of it being one of the books with the oldest stories ever written. It also has this stories that relate to conversation with the creator in which case i would say, at least we have written theories that would guide us on the God of Abraham, and secondly, with a tribal theme that can be traced to date among the jewish race.

All i have is this book, and my faith, and ofcourse miracles that confirm Gods precense to me...

The word barbarian was used to instill a sense of fear in the people of roman times. Can we not make a comparison to the modern day use of the word terror in order to justify otherwise unexplainable actions?

There's a new book out about the WWII Battle of Leyte Gulf -- the largest and possibly the last large-scale naval battle ever. Other large naval battles include the Battle of Midway -- although that was really a battle between aircraft carriers -- and the WWI Battle of Jutland.

Which is the most interesting, and why?

I bought this old green combat helmet from an antique store in town for my sons bedroom. I have searched the internet and cannot locate which country from. I know the sticker said World War 2 , but I need to know who wore as far as countries go. The helmet looks to be British in style other than it does have this wedge at the top. Not like the police and firemen wore but like a 1/2" high wedge to the top that goes from the front to the back. Any ideas?

I'm sure by placing the explosives at the right areas of the fault-line, it could have easily been done.

I think it was done by a world-wide, secret society cabal from people all around the world, many from the U.S.

I think they were called, "The semi-confederated orginization of dastardly villians, and letcherous rapscallions".

Their goal was to create an incident that would create war for further profiteering, and consolidation of power. After the 1906 quake failed, they then used controlled demolitions on the Titanic, all this stuff about an "iceberg" is nonsence.

But that also failed to create a war. They finally succeeded in 1914 with Franz Ferdinad's killing.

Ironic, as it turns out that they didn't have to use controlled demolitional at all.

I am trying to figure out what this quote from walden means: "It is hard to have a southern overseer; it is worse to have a northern one; but worst of all when you are the slave driver of yourself."

what's the difference between a southern and a northern overseer? was it more brutal in the south or something?
