I bought this old green combat helmet from an antique store in town for my sons bedroom. I have searched the internet and cannot locate which country from. I know the sticker said World War 2 , but I need to know who wore as far as countries go. The helmet looks to be British in style other than it does have this wedge at the top. Not like the police and firemen wore but like a 1/2" high wedge to the top that goes from the front to the back. Any ideas?

Let the boy do the leg work. Tell him it the price for it. He may gain a desire to study the period and who knows where that may lead. Scholarship, grants, lifetime satisfaction, the ability to write a good English sentence. World domination. The things he will be hard pressed to get from school. He can show you his research and you can compare the results with the helmet. ( Something we cannot help you with because we have no picture.) My best bet, with your description, France or Belgium
