For my history project I have to research the key figures of the history of Black African Americans, and we were asked to research Black power. I've looked all over the net and I can't anything useful, plus I really don't understand half of the words that are used in the sites, they sound as if they've come out of the Oxford dictionary. Greco-Roman sexuality question.
Question Details: I need a little help answering the following: The pre-industrial societys and clutures of Greco-Roman antiquity with thier dominant patriarchy and androcentricism seem utterly different from the modern westand thus also seem to bear out the contention that sex, gender, and sexuality are socially constructed. Can a strong arguement be bade for any significant commonalities in the area of sexuality between the Greco-Roman world and the West that would seem, in part at least, to support and 'essentialist' view?

Here's some food for thought: France is possibly the ONLY European power not to have had a war against the USA, ever! (England did two times, Spain as well, also Italy, Germany, and strong antagonism against Russia...)
Also, France has helped USA become independent & exchanged many ideas during the revolutionary period (Bill of rights & French Rights of Man were created on same year! 1789)
So why is it that USA has so much antagonism against France?!
