A friend of mine takes great pleasure in tarring me with the above epithet due to my feeble computer skills and my general reluctance to embrace technological advancements.

I vaguely remember my Grandmother telling about them but I can't remember if they were a political movement, disgruntled workers, or a biblical race.

I would like to try and find a list of some kind that shows what was used for money during the 14th century in Europe. As in what it was called and what it was worth back then from most to least (like a US dollar is worth more then a US quarter).

i know the south resented the book because it was an unfair and somewhat exaggerated, (in their opinion), portrayal of the way they treated their slaves, but did they take any action against the book itself? how did the south respond to harriet beecher stowe's book, "Uncle Tom's Cabin"?

I have to write an essay about what caused a Civil War, and the key terms that I had to include the Compromise of 1850 and the Kansas-Nebraska controversy. How did these events cause the war? I know what they are, but I just think that the Compromise of 1850 delayed the war...Did Kansas-Nebraska controversy caused the war because it caused a larger gap between the North and the South?

Recently, while watching a WWII documentary on D-Day, I saw again footage of a U. S. soldier at the moment he is struck down while working his way up one of the landing beaches, and I was wondering - since this footage is used as "stock war footage" from EVERY D-Day or even ETO WWII documentary I have ever seen - is the identity of the fallen soldier known? Viewers of war documentaries will know what footage I speak of: we see, I think, three U.S. soldiers (USA presumed) making their way up one of the Normandy beaches. The shot shows the men in the right half of the screen, if you split it down the middle. The soldier closest to mid-screen is caught the moment he is - presumed - struck by a bullet or schrapnel, or some other weapon. He immediately falls. I've seen this footage a thousand times - it would be nice if I could place a name to the man, to honor this fallen U. S. solder, and those other heroes filmed fighting alongside him, as they make it up the beach. Who is he?

Obviously, Hawaii is an AMerican state of British geneaology, so why not designate my country as both regardless of its previous form? Hawaii is an American state of Bridish heritage, so my country is a British country with American heritage. I am concerned about the Bahamas because my personality is identical to that of the Bahamas. Do you ever have a personality akin to another country? I feel that way about the Bahamas, but should that personality be German, Dutch, Chinese, etc.? Such is my problem, but I am asking about the Bahamas being American in case of a change in British laws. I do not wish for the change to destroy the country and the statehood can act as backup. As a matter of fact, Texas was the same way: a republic that became an American state. Thiink about it!
