I am trying to teach a foreign student (age 16) about American history and would like to show some videos that are informative, but also entertaining (not boring and really long). Do you know of any that I could use? thank you.

If I remember from last year's world history class, the first civilizations were the Sumerians, the Egyptians, the Chinese, and a mysterious Indian civilization. My questions are what is this lost Indian civilization referred to as today, why was it lost, and how similar was this ancient culture to today's Indian Hindu culture?

In regards to the time before the Civil War and during the Harrison, Tyler, Polk presdiencies.... Why did non-slaveholding white Sotherners tolerate and support slavery? Why was the antebellum South, when compared to the North, underdeveloped industrially?

Its called "palestine" ,when the Jews were there in 1800 BCE, almost 2,500 years before Islam. Its palestine, where two Temples were built there, when Jews were there to resist the invasions of the Egyptians, Assyrians. Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Persians, Crusaders, Turks, and British. But where did the arabs come in? In the 600's CE, with the invention of Islam, 2,500 years after the Jews were living there As camel herders who swept out of the desert in Arabia to claim a land that mohammed ascended to heaven on a "winged horse with a womens' face". Or how about the fact that "Palestine " has nothing to do with arabs? Its true- its a greek name for the philistines, an indo european( arabs are semitic) group who settled there after the Jews had been there. How about the fact that the arabs built the dome of the rock over the reamains of 2 Jewish holy sites? Dig 5 inches in the land, youll find arab and jewish artifacts. Dig 200 feet, its all Jewish artifacts. Whose land, tell me?
