In the UK we call it the Seven Years War 1756 to 1763.
This was when the British drove the French out of the east of the Mississippi and Quebec and also India.
Taxation to pay for the war was a cause of the subsequent War of Independence.
We also took New Amsterdam and some West Indian islands freom the Dutch about 100 years earlier.
The King at the time was George III and the Prime Minister William Pitt the elder, after whom the French Fort Duquesne was renamed Pittsburgh.

yes it would...as would queen annes... They were all part of the French and Indian wars fought in North America for dominance of the colonies

I'm pretty sure it was only the French-and-Indian War...I have Spark Notes on the American Revolution, and that is all it mentions.
