My grandmother's parents came from County Cork and their names were Elizabeth and Patrick Hunt. After they left Ireland they came to the United States and lived in New York where my great-grandfather was murdered a few years later. I would appreciate any help.

I understand that there was a time when if a man was naturlized his wife and children were automatically naturilized. One of my gggrandfather's died in a yellow fever epidemic shortly after arriving in this country. Information indicates they came in through the Port of New Orleans in 1853.. If my gggrandmother remarried someone who was already a citizen would she at that time be considered a citizen?

My Great Aunt (Hilda Robbins before she married, born in South London) emigrated to NZ about 60 years ago.. She passed away there but had children who I know were researching the family tree and I'd like to find them. Trouble is, I don't know Hilda's married name! What's the best New Zealand website to post a family tree and/or seeking someone message please? Thank you.

My grandmother has dementia and is not a good historian and cannot tell me much about her dad or grandfather. I tracked down her sister though public records.

Is it in poor taste to write a polite yet simple letter introducing yourself and asking if she would mind talking about any history?
