.. the application for genealogy vigilantes?
This is Yahoo answers. Not Burke's Peerage, not Daughter's of the American Revolution. People who come here, do so for help, not to be told that their question is stupid, doesn't meet someone elses standards, or wastes their time. Persons looking for living relatives are not stalkers. Beginners who show an interest in their surname might go on to research... depending on how they are treated here.
Yahoo is perfectly capable of determining whether a question is acceptable and meets THEIR standards. Respecting other persons is the most important guideline here, and racking up points by being patronizing, and RUNNING OFF OTHER PERSONS by doing so, is ridiculous. You lose NO points for someone who inadvertantly miscategorizes. Constant insults to others is abuse, in my opinion.
The point of being here is to HELP other persons. I'll spend 5 points to make that statement...

I am half Italian, part Dutch, American Indian (Native American),
Hessian German of Revolutionary War period when the English used German Mercenaries, Irish, and who knows what else.?

Generally of European extraction >>> a "white boy" as a rough and crude description.

Can DNA be used to determine blood lines ?

Is there any other method to determine blood lines ?

Thanks,

I have a pedigree chart of my family ZINN from 1742-1878, within the states of PA, WV, VA, and IL. I have the county and most of the time the town of residence, as well as names and dates of births, deaths, and marriages. I've looked at many censuses for any of my ancestors during these times and states, and cannot find a single census record. What might be the cause?

Ok so I was dating this guy. And I have a second cousin. And he says that it's his second cousin too. Does that make us anything? He says it does. Are we related. I've never seen him at a family gathering or anything. Never heard of him!

Inmerstok and Innstok are the towns. They are listed on my great-grandfather's death certificate as the birthplaces of his parents. My mom and I have been combing the web and can't find a map or anything of them in any page. The certificate is done in kind of messy cursive, so maybe I'm reading it wrong/they are spelled wrong? I've tried other variations (Inmerstok, for example) and still nothing. Any help would be nice to have!
