Only way would be is to ask relatives. Perhaps relatives you don't normally talk to. If your grandfather was in the army, you may be able to locate a military photo. Good luck to you

Be sure to ask every relative--each of your cousins, your parents, your aunts and uncles, etc. I would be surprised if there are no pictures of your grandfather in your family.

You could find the obituary for your grandfather from the local newspaper if it was published--occasionally these were published with pictures.

Also, try the local historical society or local library for help--they may know if there is a repository of pictures for the town.

Good luck,
Dave

If you don't have anyone in the family you can ask, or no one has a picture of him, do you know where he went to school? There may be old school photos around; if the school still exists, check its library.

You didn't say where he lived. Ask relatives. Get his military files. Look for his obituary. Libraries may have old public school or university yearbooks with photos.

best way would be to ask you dad what your grandfather did when we was alive,............there should be a photo of him withhin the organization he worked for....

i know it sounds hard, but is verylikely that friends of him have one.....so you can try to contact one of them...

or you can try to hire an investigator...(i have seen it in movies, not so sure if its real =))
