I'm afraid Scotsmen have been barred from going to sea for about 15 years now.
It was found that the ginger hair and the drinking didnt go down well with the english officers and it was thought that for the benefit of all concerned no more jocks would be allowed at sea.
This policy has been adopted at the United natuons, and all boat sellers north of Newcastle have been closed down.
