If you mean some 10,000 years ago I suppose you could learn what parts of what continents your ancestors were probably on before the last ice age. That's pretty darned useless for genealogy, however.

You, being male, could do a (male) surname yDNA genealogy test through http://www.familytreedna.com which would compare your results to others with the same surname to find genetic matches at certain specific markers.

It's only a tool though, to use along with the usual family history research. It can help give direction beyond your brick wall, as well as tell you where your research -- or some other family problem -- went wrong maybe hundreds of years back which may be nothing more than a family taking in some child without a recorded adoption and giving the child a name.

A couple of my pioneering ancestors took in a newborn whose mother died in childbirth over 200 years ago and gave her their name. I found one of her descendants and told who her ancestor's real parents were. I would not have learned of that adoption had the newborn not been the "first white child born" in that place warranting her a mention in an obscure old local history. The descendant attended a local historical event having just learned she was a descendant of the "oldest" native-born which added something to her experience.

(Now consider - What If my "ancestors" had NO children of their own and took in others', including the one I claim as my g#-grandmother also?!)
