basically, ex-pats who moved from scotland to ireland, but then insisted upon keeping scottisch traditions. They view them as less than people and I was even told to forget my heritage as I would be dissapointed! Is this the consesus view or did I just come across some people with chips on their shoulders?

What sort of nationality do you think I look most like? My ancestors were Greeks who traveled from Greece to Sicily. The other parts are: Portuguese, Native American, and Scottish. Which of these do you think my traits lean most toward? If you think I look like several, tell me how! I'd love to hear your opinions.

I started my research about 4 years ago and have been pretty successful so far.I was lucky to come from a well documented line of descendants,at least in part! My problems all started when I began to research my Father's family and found an obscure refrence to "Documents filed in the Dallas County Clerk's Office"on a grade school information card.I went to the CC and found there was a record of adoption on file there. It said that his parents,James Aaron Terry and Virgie T.Terry were man and wife and were relinquishing their parental rights to my father, listed as Wilburn Edward Terry, born 25 March 1922.The date was 25 March 1925,his third birthday.I began my search with the Terry's and found James and Virgle T.Terry on the 1920 Hopkins County Census. They listed their ages as 25 and 17,respectivly. James and Virgie born in Texas,Virgie's mother born in Missouri.Virgie is a comlete mystery. After the adoption she disappears.James is remarrying in 1926.No trace of Virgie.Help please.......

I have a confusing family relation. Caroline Bobo may have been his daughter. It seems with the last name not matching she may have been adopted? Fincher Gist parents are listed as Thomas Bobo and Mary Ann Wix (Mary Ann was born 1889 and died in 1962) Hope you can find some info to help me, I'd appreciate it. John D. Long was a son or grandson, and he was the politicain that John D. (Davis) Long lake was named after in S.C. (yes it's the same lake that Susan Smith drowned her kids in.)

.............?
Man supposedly evolved from Monkeys {Primates} They are our closest relation in the animal world, and it has been proven that Man can control an animals behavior....So....If you give Primates Tools and Weapons ... Would they learn how to use them ? Would they have to be taught ? or would they be curious, then leave them alone and resume their Monkey life ?
______________________________...
Then part #2 of this question is ......If they ignore what was presented to improve their lives, How could we have possibly evolved from them ?

My sister Mary had a boy in 1987 or 1986 named Ben, he is of mixed ethnicity. He was born in Connecticut where she gave him up for adoption. Can anyone from that state tell me the process of uniting them now that he is older and may want to seek his real mom. Thanks

I kept going back till I coudlnt' go back anymore and I found Kings in Egypt and something of Troy (not Helen) so I kept going and added it into my family tree on Ancestry.com. I found it interesting even if it maybe wasn't my family. I started with the name of Johnson and it changed many times to where it didnt' even sound like Johnson. Has anyone done this?
