For what it is worth, My wife's Mother was a Hickok. They have traced through many generations, and although they have always said that Wild Bill was a family member, Their particular line came through a cousin or possibly a brother. They are not sure. They also found that his "real name" James Butler Hickok was an alias due to being wanted for something he did. They have never found out what. Their family tree information that has been verified is at http://www.rainbow-connect.com. It is also a family saying that yes, he and calamity Jane were an item and had a daughter, though no one has found her name or been able to verify this information. Good Luck on your quest.

It seems he didn't. In the spring of 1876 (either March 5 or April 5, depending on the source) he married a certain Agnes (or Agnus) Lake Thatcher, but after a 2-week honeymoon in Cincinnati and spending just a short time with her, he left in June to seek his fortune in gold-rush country, in Deadwood, South Dakota. He was shot and killed there on August 2 of the same year.

Yes. My mother knew I was a lesbian when I didn't give any signs at all. Except the gay chatroom she caught me in when I was like 9. Anyways, she would drop little hints that she knew. She finally got tired of me keeping the secret, and told me to: "Kick the darn door down already, it's okay babe!" I love my mommy.

My great grandmother maintained that her great grandfather was Wild Bill, however she says her father changed the spelling of "Hickok" to "Hickox" to avoid association with him.
