Can anyone tell me what is public records. For example is divorce papers and arrest records public record.

I am always asked what is her fathers nationality? People seem to be shocked. She is the spitting image of her papa. Skin,eyes,hair. Can anyone tell me how this is possible. We thought her skin would change and get darker but, she is still the same since the day she was born. She will be six months tomorrow.I can not say what I am because I never knew my dad. My mom refuses to talk about him. Is there some genetic link I missed along the way???

My last name shocks people. They ask me where did I come from. I've never met anyone who has the same last name as me. Someone told me that its rare but I dont think so. My Last Name Is Isom. It is pronounced Eye Some (what I was told) not really sure about my family .

I am doing my family tree and I am hitting a wall on my mothers side.I have been to some of the pay sites but they get to expensive to keep searching and they all have the same info. I already have. she is from ukraine and potentually has jewish relatives, but might have denied it while she was sent to germany during ww2. i dont know if she was in a camp but i do know that she was a young girl then, maybe teenager.
