I would really like to know if he is still alive or if he is okay. I have his SSN, but I still haven't had any luck in finding him. The last place I knew him to be was in Texas. Any suggestions would be VERY appreciated.

G'day Patchen Mom,

Thank you for your question.

I went to Zaba Search which is a search engine specialising in finding people. There are 82 listings for Daniel E. Holmes. It also has the option to search by Social Security numbers which would narrow your search considerably.

I hope that you find your Dad.

Regards

If you have his SSN, the SSA will forward a letter to the last address they have for him. Their address may not be good, and he may not respond to the letter, so don't get your hopes up.

You might also check his ssn in the death index:

He could have suffered an accident. If he is on it, he is dead, but if he isn't on it he isn't necessarily alive; not all deaths get reported to the SSA.

Definitely check with the Social Security Office. Ted gave you excellent advise in my opinion.

I did some checking on my own. Can you give me his date of birth?

Please take the help from television. write to some programes who work for lost people and try to help them and find them. you should give a message through news paper too. give an add to tv or news paper and tell you father that you are worried for him and also give a message to people that whoever finds him should tell you, please also mentio your phone number. Thanks.
