Hey mcnallys lost child,

Many of us that monitor questions here in the Genealogy section of Yahoo Answers know about genealogy and adoptions. We can help. Perhaps, you could post more information about your Grandmother, perhaps her first and last name (maiden, or married or both). The birth date is a great start. Meanwhile, I have posted some relevant sites for you to examine.

Born in 1893, I hope you are prepared that she is most likely deceased.

Do internet searches on known pieces of data; e.g., McNally, Liverpool, genealogy. Punch in as many combinations as you can come up with using logical connections; e.g., don't type in Erie, PA, 1893, and expect to get births in Liverpool for that year. As you gather more info, refine your searches to include any new data you have gleaned; e.g., baptisms, 1894, McNally, etc. Good luck.

It would help it you told me WHAT you are trying to find out about your grandmother. If she has passed you can find out things about her from her death certificate or her original SSN application. Check out geneology sites too! You have to pay to get some of the information, but you can check out census reports, newpaper articles ( marriage annoucements etc) But it is my favorite website for geneaology research. You should speak to relatives in your family that remember your grandmother. That is your best source for family history.

Not quite sure how genealogy or adoption is relevant to tracing a *missing* person.
