Hey mlingisfl,

Well, try finding someone that may have had a similar research objectives. GENFORUM is a good place. Have you gone to LDS Family Search? Also, roots web has lots of free information.

The name of the game with Genealogy is Vital Records. Vital records in MA are fairly inexpensive. Go to the website below and order what you need. I recommend going directly to the Town site first, they will be cheaper for records. You should be able to request Birth, Death, and Marriage records, the Town may direct you to a records department.

I can see the value of School records, but why start there? It will be easier for you when you figure the connections that Vital Records give. Birth, gives parents and their birth dates and locations. That defines and validates three nodes on the Family Tree, while at the same time giving you information to get to the next set of parents. Best of luck, post again if you need more help.
