What is the origin and meaning of the surname Cerulea?

Hey A Mermaid,
I found in a dictionary online that it means 'Sky Blue', and it said that it was Spanish origin. There are no other families on the internet with that surname that I could find. You have flowers, and birds with Cerulea as part of the technical name. Meaning blue. To research that name you are going to need records, starting with the most recent, and work backwards. Using vital record sources.

I checked the FAMILY SEARCH site of LDS, and there is not one record there! That is unusual. You might need to try some Spanish sites.
