I'm in a Dance Class at my high school and I HATE it. It's like torture. I'm not good at all (I used to take Ballet for years and I was good, but this is Hip-hop and I SUCK!) Anyway, I want to transfer out of the class but I need the teachers signature to do that. A friend of mine who was in her class two years ago wanted to drop the class for the same reason as I do and the teacher said no. What excuse can I use to get out of the class? PLEASE HELP!

Does it really matter if a girl is that good at dancing. I'm not talking horrible, but just average. If she shows confidence and just has fun is that what matters more?

The Snipage:
"A sense of humility is a part of the faith," says Mirza Masroor Ahmad as he calls upon women to wear headscarves. In order to reach the women more directly, he held an address in the women's tent. The men followed the sermon from their separate quarters from a large screen. The religious leader issued a strong warning against living an immoral lifestyle. Women are not to dance at weddings, for example.

"While dancing the body is exposed in a very shameful way," he asserted. "But if a woman understands her religious duties properly, she will also raise her children well."

I need some semi-classical songs (like jiya jale or barso re...but I can't use them because people did those last year)
and some upbeat hiphop type (like dhoom...or a mixed version of a song)
*and please NO ENGLISH in any parts of the song...like dhoom again has cheesey english lyrics in it which basically ruins the song.

Besides movies that really focus on dancing (like "Dirty Dancing"), I'm hunting for ones that have maybe one memorable dance scene, like Uma Thurman & Travolta in "Pulp Fiction" or Debra Winger & Travolta in whatever that cowboy movie was.

Ok, so he a professional dancer and I am fairly new to dance. We have great chemistry and move very well together. Monday will be the first time I dance with him in heels. I am already an inch or so taller than him. With him in heels I will still gain at least another inch. It is not a problem with our dancing, but we are worried about what judges will think. Do you think that our ability to move cohesively and with a good top line will be enough? We see this as a challenge so we are willing to do what it takes i.e. me losing weight to appear smaller and him gaining a little to appear larger, doing drills and training to dance more into my knees. We will be dancing mostly smooth, american and international, shows and comps. We are very serious about dancing together, I was just wondering what other dancers think about this kind of obstacle, would you just find another partner that was taller? Or stay with the one that you work best with? How much will it hurt our scores?
