i think the person was asking one of those "am i too old to start dance" questions. she probably wanted to know if it was too late for her to go en pointe...because it takes a few years. thats as much as i can guess based on what your asking....but i would consider "too old to start pointe" as in the person is like almost or over 20 and has never taken ballet before....and wants to go en pointe. hope i helped!

No, there is not a too old age for learning pointe. Most ballet dancers actually strat too young, before their feet are completely formed, causing foot problems when they get older.

you're no longer too previous, yet you isn't in pointe shoes authentic away. All different dance varieties aside, you're staring at a minimum of a million.5- 2yrs till now you get in pointe shoes, because of the fact you're able to desire to be at an intermediate point. by ability of taking 3+ 90min training a week, and in case you have organic skills/strenght, you're able to get to them quicker (nonetheless staring at 1yr MIN), yet even then, you will commence at 1hr of pointe a week till your instructor says greater (to boot on your 2-3 customary ballet training a week). Doing pointe is spectacular and that i omit it, so i desire sometime you will get to it too! do no longer rush into it, because of the fact you do no longer decide to advance undesirable conduct, or worse, injure your self. getting to know pointe is like getting to know ballet yet lower back from the beginning up, even a plie or flat footed passe takes lots greater paintings in pointe shoes, to no longer point out balances or turns en pointe, lol. sturdy luck!

No, you can start pointe at any age except under 11. You need to have had several years of dance before you go unto pointe.

You can't start Pointe until I believe (or so I've read) your at least 12, and your ankles have to be strong enough for it. But after that there is no age when Pointe is 'forbidden'.
