So, l read the story. Poe confuses me a bit. We'll be taking a test about it soon, and l was hoping l could a little bit more info on it.

1. explain and define the form in which the Cask of Amontillado is written.

2. explain why Poe used first person narrative to write this story.

3. explain how Poe used conflict in this novel.

Poe is easily fascinated by the ease with which one could slip from the rational to the irrational. What does that mean?

Several years ago, I bought several "bookworms"-- metal book-holders shaped like an L with an elongated horizontal stroke that coils back on itself. It serves the same purpose as a pair of bookends, but because it's all one piece,it holds books much more securely--it can't slide apart. Now I can't find them. An online search just turns up cute sculptures and other things that aren't it. Can anyone help?

Anyone know websites I can go to to get an agent to help publish my book? Also, are you aware of the average charge for one or at least a rough estimate? I don't want to be ripped off.

Ppl in my life will be referred to as character names.

Other than the fact that everyone is human, my life is almost identical to the Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse series. I found my Edward a year ago (he is truly Ed, in almost every way). Just this year, I realised who my Jake is (I hadn't seen him in years). I'm currently a Jr in HS, same as Ed, Jake's a fr. Sounding familiar?
Ed left me for a while, due to some family issues, and I started talking to Jake more often. Ed came back, promising to never leave again, but he did - and that's the one difference. It's happened several times now.
Jake doesn't act like he likes me, but our relationship follows the book to a T. Ppl we're together, but we're just similar.
I've discovered many striking details that match my life perfectly, including quotes from characters.
So fans, here's the dillemma-I left Ed to be friends with Jake, cuz Ed is too jealous, and hurts me too much - Good decision or bad? What would you do? Why?

I am only fourteen years old and am looking into getting my book into stores. I already got it published online through Lulu but am attempting to have it placed into book shops such as Borders, Amazon, etc.
So far I am looking into AuthorHouse, but am trying to expand my offers. I can work with self publishing, however I'd much prefer to get my works noticed by an actual company like Scholastic, or perhaps Little Browns and Company. Of course I know most of you won't take me seriously due to my age but I'd appreciate it if you tried to be opened minded. How exactly should I proceed?

I'm wanting to write a book. Possibly a young adult novel or at least an adult novel about a teenage girl but I can't think of anything that isn't cliche like those other teen books that are out like Gossip Girl. I want to do something different but I can't think of a thing. How do you think of an idea to cure writer's block?

Im re-reading the L.O.T.R again, and Tolkien uses a lot of words such as dell, glade, ravine, gully, grove, cornice, gorge, thickets, ridge, clefts etc... Can someone please explain to me what they are, so I can visualise it properly whilst reading the book?
Also, the Barrow-Downs, they were mounds of earth, like mini hills that were tombs, am I correct with this?
Descriptions of scenery sometimes confuses me.
Thanks in advance.
