What if the lesbian lover reached over and started rubbing the main character's leg. The main character would like roll over and visibly roll her eyes - saying something witty about her not being interested. The friend would get mad at her lover for touching the other girl and they start fighting. Is there a fourth person in the room? Maybe she's a *****. She is sitting in a chair with a leg flung over the chair back. She's kind of tough. She has a gun (from the murder) and she rolls her eyes too and just grabs the gun and reaches it up and shoots the lesbian. "Just call it an antii-gay hate crime." When everyone looks at her like WTF she shrugs her shoulders like, "What, she was getting on my nerves."
Everyone just kind of goes about their business and you can tell they are scared sh!tless of the tough *****. They just let the lesbian in the bed.
The main character is like. Ok, great now we have to find a new hotel. New scene.

A few days ago in another part of town, the town's health and safety commissioner gives final approvals to plans to shut down the hotel on the basis that it has been found to be a health hazard and a place frequented by prostitutes. Cut back to the present: The police show up at the hotel in large numbers with the "shut down" order ready to evacuate the residents -- especially any prostitutes they may find. Not looking for someone on the run for murder, they approach the door where the women are staying. But the women had seen the police arrive and had made plans . . . .

Well, what happens when they get up? Who's been sleeping in what--underwear, pajamas. nightgown, clothes, nothing? Who gets the bathroom first? Do they all shower, or does only one, while the others fret that they're going to be caught if they don't get a move on? Or does one fret while the others take turns in the shower and call her a grunge? Where's their car? Can they see it from the window? Is anyone suspicious-looking standing near it? Do they buy a paper to see whether there's anything about them in it? Do they leave one or two at a time and rendezvous somewhere, in case the police in that town are already looking for four women together? How do you envision them piling into the car? Who's driving? Do they stop for breakfast? Get it at a drive-through? Which way do they head?

Does this help? BTW, Mark Twain said that when the wells of creativity run dry, you just have to sit back and wait for them to fill up again.
