lets see..it depends on the genre or the mood you want

if you are into fantasy then i'd recommend:
Sabriel(my favorite book all time) by Garth Nix
Golden Compass (Dark Materials Series) by Phillip Pullman
Pendragon Series

if you want a cute fun girly read then i'd go for:
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
or anything else by Sarah Dessen

if you want a classic i'd go for:
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
1984 by George Orwell
Perks of Being a Wallflower if you want something slightly stranger.
or the Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

good luck! =]

I'm the same age, and this is what I like:
"PS. I love you" (not sure who it's by) is a great, but terribly sad book I just finished reading. It's actually being made into a mojor motion picture at the moment.
"The Pact" by Jodi Piccoult is reallly reallly reallly amazing. Its my favorite book of all time. It deals with a teenage sucide pact, but it goes deeper than that. I highly reccomend this one.

Good luck, and hapy reading !

Go to Amazon.com and search:
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1"
"Death by Murder David Lindsay" - you have to search that way or the title doesn't come up. There's a lot of sex and violence in that one but it's not gratuitous.
and "Super Spaghetti."
They're all by David A. Lindsay.

They're free if you have Kindle Unlimited, and you can get a free trial of that - Google how.
If you don't have a Kindle you can get a free smartphone app from Google Play, or read it online - all free.
