I don't mean to get pornographic, but suppose one is writting a fan fiction on Lord of the Rings: Elves, asides from the top of their head, are hairless. Do elves have pubic hair?

I am looking for a short story for class to adapt into a stage piece. If anyone has any suggestions,I am looking for a piece that is very dark.I want to represent the opposite view of a seemingly one sided situation. Such as a molesters side of a rape or a murder as justified by the killer. A drug addiction story that is very layered,it only has to be fiction. So if you can help I would appreciate your input. I would prefer contempory suggestions and no edgar allen poe.

Hello all, I need you all to help me and recommend some very interesting books to me. I love books with a little comedy, drama, and eroticism all rolled into one. I find Zane books very interesting along with J. California Cooper and R M Johnson, so please list the titles and authors of some others. Thank you!!!

I have a huge test on Monday over the whole poem of The Odyssey. I was particularly confused about books 17-21. Can anyone give a quick (in order) synopsis of those four books?

I think that J.K. Rowling's ending of Harry Potter should've ended with a big BANG! I mean come on, she only told us what happened to Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville. She didn't even tell us what their jobs were! What do you think?

Is it okay to say "shouldn't have counted your chickens before they hatched" when you're writing about--let's say a girl who lied about something because she thought she was going to get in trouble or something? Because usually it's when someone thinks about the future and not the present that people say that.

Is it okay???

In The Phantom of the Opera, the phantom (according to the 1923, 1925, and 1987 animated version) has a skull-like face. I was always wondering how his face got to be like that?

I'm Black and also a writer. When I go to the bookstore or check out a book rack in the African American section I see books mostly about sex, infidelity, money, bling, the game, and other things. I don't write this kind of fictionand don't read these kinds of books, but that's most of what I see. I know Black people are much more multi-faceted that this but these books are everywhere. Why is this. To me thiese things are degrading to Blacks but they sell. Thanks

The Kiss of Death
Her world is not normal. It is only roughly stitched into the real world. The light of it never fades from her eyes, but once when she awoke from that dream. She arose from the shadow of that dark world, to the light of the wisdom of life. Her life which once faded and shriveled is now whole. It wasn't her fault that she was to be outcaste into the sleep of death that had become her world, but that of a drunken boy who disappeared from this life all together. She was the lucky one who saw the light again.

This is a flash fiction piece that I wrote in a workshop, so what is you opinion of it and what do you think it is about. If it is bad just write bad, I mean come on I really don’t care just be truthful. Type 454545 if you read this, Thanks.

I have an excellent idea for a book, and I got the general outline and characters decided. I have so many questions! So I'll ask one general question. What should I do?! What does the book writing process involve? Should I use pen or keyboard? Thanks for the help!

I love to write and I have a few different styles. All are different from little detail to a lot of detail. About how detailed though should I write to be considered a good writer and my work worth reading?

I don't understand it at all! I read it the first time two weeks ago and totally fell in love with Holden Caufield.

Anyone want to share why they hate it so much?

I just like asking these ones because I love seeing people's opinions and stuff. Personally, I love Ginny because a t first she is so quiet and reserved, and then she is really fiery and hot-tempered. And she (SPOILER ALERT!) marries Harry in the last book's Epilogue, so I love that.

Something like the Pursuit of Happiness (which we cant use anyway) but something like that (with a movie made in the last 2-3 years)

I'm writing a short story (Please don't give me specific ideas. It's not what I need). Sometimes when writing short stories, I get stuck on what to really write about (I'm more of a novelist than a short story writer).

So, what are some good, mature morals. Not little kid ones, like "Growing up isn't so bad." "Responsibility" and so on. No religious ones either, like "God Is Great" "Jesus Saved Us For Our Sins".

I just need a broad, mature morals, such as "Death Is Something You'll Have To Cope With" or "Appearance Really DOES Count", things like that.

Thanks all!

I have the worst case of writer's block. I have my two main character figured out and some little scenes I want to include but I can't come up with the over all plot. This is what I got so far.

Adam is a loner and a drifter; he is renting a room above a small cafe in a run down part of town. Kate is from a rich and proper family. Kate finds herself getting suffocated by the high class life style. But when she tries to live a different life style she finds herself becoming lost. Kate gets in to a mess bigger then she understands. Adam sees her struggling and tries to help. But his help comes across more as a kidnapping then a rescue, when he takes Kate to a run down motel.

That is what I have so far, got any idea on where I should go with it?
