Can you summarize Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book 'The Eye of the World'?

I've read the book twice now, over a period of 8 years or so, but I keep forgetting all the things that happen in it. I once read through to book 4, and I really want to read the whole series. If perhaps someone could summarize the first book for me, I can at least continue to the second again, haha.

The books are just so extensive with so many characters. Also I'm doing a second master's degree in literature (first in Comparative Literature, second in German), so with all I'm required to read, I'm starting to have trouble keeping things seperated in my mind. I'm already so scatterbrained haha.

I would greatly appreciate a good summary or a link to a summary. I remember everything that happens until they start traveling. After that I only have vague memories of wolves, a big royal city, and something with facing the dark one or something at the end after lots of training with Lan?

I cried last night
But it’s alright
Because I was alone
So no one could have known
I know how to hide it
Even when my body goes into a fit
I have been learning for years
How to hide my fears
But now they can no longer stay away
And haunt me until the dawn of day
When day comes it’s a clean slate
That’s tarnished by this awful state
It eats away at me from the inside
Because all I ever do is hide
Some days I feel brave
And crawl out of my grave
I smile and look up only for a moment
But then I fail from the torment
My hands tremble and quiver
As if I had crawled out of a freezing river
My heart beats faster
It just gets sadder
I find it hard to breathe
I’m too scared to wheeze
I’m about to collapse
And with a gasp
I manage to say
How’s your day
But my victory is far from over
Because soon I’m about to cower
Down goes my head
I feel like I’m dead
I run away
There goes another day
Another night of crying
Because on the inside I'm dying

I'm currently on the fourth book (Wizard and Glass....rereading it to refresh my memory), and I was wondering if anyone out there has read the whole series, and if it was all that it was cracked up to be?

Also, does anyone have any other reading suggestions (not romance please)?

I am writing a book on how to solve Insomnia and am wondering if you could tell me how I can find an agent to promote the book who specializes in health/self help titles?

Do I need to submit the whole book to the agent or can I just submit an outline and a sample chapter?

I was just wondering what everyone's favorite line from the HP series. My favorite is - "I've said all along you're taking a ridiculous line on this, Remus," said Mrs. Weasley over Fleur's shoulder as she patted her on the back.

"I'm not being ridiculous," said Lupin steadily. "Tonks deserves someone young and whole."

"But she wants you," said Mr. Weasley, with a small smile. "And after all, Remus, young and whole men do not necessarily remain so."

He gestured sadly at his son, lying between them.

"This is...not the moment to discuss it," said Lupin, avoiding everybody's eyes as he looked around distractedly. "Dumbledore is dead...."

"Dumbledore would have been happier than anybody to think that there was a little more love in the world," said Professor McGonagall curtly....

If someone can prove to me it is a romantic story, I will glady give away 10 points. Seeing how their families brutally kill each other, and Romeo and Juliet both commit suicide at the end. IT WAS FOR LOVE! (I doubt it)

Which would you rather read? A good sci-fi or fantasy novel. I'm in the middle of writing both, I'm equally excited about both, but I would like to know where I should focus my energy.

Please give me your ideas and justify it if possible.

I'm a copy cataloger at a large midwestern university, and lately I've been noticing books coming in with "2007" publication dates. From what I understand about copyright law, the publication date indicates the date that the book is to be made available to the public (as opposed to printing dates or copyright dates). Is it just a matter of getting a book out sooner than anticipated? Are there any legal problems if a book is made available sooner (or later) than its offical publication date?

When was the authenticity of Shakespeare's authorship first questioned? I don't necessarily need the exact year, but at least the century or something if you know it.

Please and thank you!
