Like the continent that once was, our hearts
Are bound. Though distant are the corpses which
Bind them. I bring back to mind our last part,
And curse vile Time as if I were a witch.
For were it not for Time, in your arms I
would be. Time is evil, tricky, a pit,
slow, deadly. How I wish I could shanghai
Time, use it on our side for fighting it
is pointless. Make time our slave, “Go fast, now
slow.” Alas, this can not be done. Instead
we, the slaves to our villain, beg, “Allow
Our love to bloom. Let us lie in the bed
That is the same.” Dear Time, make our wish true;
Time skip through our split for love is long due.

please tell me if it sucks.

thanks :)

My friend and I are looking to put together a list of the most appealing short stories we can find, mostly to encourage one of our younger friends to read more. He says its all boring-We said we'd put together a list of stuff for him to read. He tends to like horror, mystery & the unexplained. I don't care what it is as long as it is a good read. (I am also doing this for myself because I intend to read all of what you all respond with.) Please list a title & author so I will know exactly what I am looking for. thanks...

His poetry often proclaims his love for women, but also makes frequent refereces to having sex with men. The sex with men instances often seem like they might be in jest, like when his friends call him gay and he seems to respond by saying "Yeah, so now I'll f*ck you all in the anus!"

Any educated responses?

Mostly I am a comedy writer, I consider myself pretty good at it; but I have an idea for a story that would be a little distasteful as a comedy, so I guess it's drama time for me.
I want to know if there are any tips for writing a good dramatic story (movie or play I think) aside from just the rules of plot structure.

I have read a ton of bad screenplays (I used to be a reader for a company) so I know they can be pretty hard to do well.

I used to these types of books all the time. They have pictures across the two pages and then on the side of one of them is a long list of things that you have to find in the picture. For example, 6 balloons. Not those books that have a picture of what you have to find and there's only like 5 things. This is just a list (with words) of what you have to find. I've been looking for them for a few months and I can't seem to find them. Any help would be appreciated, I loved doing these.

I'm looking for a book that they announced on yahoo about a week before it came out, but i can' remember the name, or the author. I only remember the author was male, had a distinct following, his surname began with a "p" and there was a picture of a youngman with green hair that accompanied the article.

I stared out the fogged up window at the pouring rain while twisting a lock of my straight dyed black hair around one long thin finger. I glanced over at the old, scraggly man sleeping to my right as an especially loud snore came from deep in his throat. I reached down and grabbed my slick, black video Ipod out of the faded olive green case I kept it in. The bus jolted as it came up to my stop. I got up out of my blue plastic seat, pushed the door open, and a surge of cold sharp raindrops blew into my face. I jumped off the last black and yellow step and landed on the wet gray concrete. I walked the regular 5 blocks to my big empty house while listening to “This Could Be Love” by The Alkaline Trio on my Ipod. I flipped up the hood on my black, oversize sweatshirt as the rain started to get heavier.
