Both are quite suitable. Here's a brief outline of the story:
Sara Crewe, the main character in "A Little Princess" was the only daughter of a wealthy diamond mine owner, left by him at an exclusive London school to be educated. Because of her considerable wealth and positition, Sara is called "a little princess" by the other girls in the school. However, she is unfailingly kind and generous to all. Her father's business fails and he dies leaving her penniless. As her school bills are unpaid she is set to work as a common maid - but no matter how bad things get she never stops believing in herself, or showing kindness to others. Almost starving, she gives her food to a beggar girl in the street. Her generosity is witnessed - and the wealthy man who unwittingly ruined her father in business comes to her rescue and adopts her.
Sara always tries to behave like a princess regardless of how difficult her life is. Although she never abandones hope, and believes in herself - a better moral for the story might be "Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself". After all, the real difference between a beggar and a princess is not simply how they might behave ... but how they are treated by others.
