Inner conflict is the self-conflict of different feelings inside as the inner conflict of Heathcliff of love, revenge and hatred in Wuthering Heights.
The outer conflict is the conflict of different characters as the conflicts of generations in Wuthering Heights.
They can also be applied to normal life. The inside conflict within the person and the outside conflict with other opponents.

The inner conflict involves an ally, such as a love interest or friend, who is trying to help the protagonist. The inner story deals with personal struggle so it gives the protagonist depth and realism.
