I was about 16 years old when I read a true crime book about two girls who killed an old lady, but I can't remember the title of the book or it's names, or any of the people in it, but i remember it took place in california and the girls were no older than like 15 or something....any one know a good search engine to use to find it?

Also, what does Virgil mean when he says, "Do you suppose you are above with the other fools even yet? Here, pity lives when it is dead to these. Who could be more impious than one who'd dare to sorow at the judgment God decrees?"

There's lot of great children's literature over the past century or three, but mostly from the British. I just want to know about the greatest American children's literature of all time. It doesn't matter if you name one or ten or even twenty, just the greatest would do.

I apologize for the choppy grammar in which I phrased my question. Yahoo doesn't give much room for proper phrasing sometimes...

I was reading and came across the well-known saying whereupon something is compared to a "double-edged sword".

Isn't a dagger two-edged? If so, is a dagger, by definition, always two-edged? Is there any other type of knife/ sword that is always or often two edged?

Wasn't sure how to categorize this question.

Thanks!

I am curently in the process of self publishing a children's book and have reached the point of setting up my royalty... I don't want the book to be very expensize, so I will be setting the book rather low in the 7.50 to 9.99 range. What do you think is fare for a 48 page, rhyming, dr. seuss like, illustarations on every page.. paper back - 6x9 edition children's book. Feel free to check it out if you'd like on my website... www.johnnydepalma.com

Thanks in advance!

Why is it that people who normally want a book banned for some reason are always the first to admit that they haven't actually read the book?
In this day and age, why can't people make informed, educated decisions through careful research and thought rather than relying on hearsay and fear??

I'm working on a research paper dealing with developments in ancient Chinese literature, and I'm looking for common ideas to explore so I can form an outline for this research paper. Any suggestions on where to start? (Forming my outline has always been my major obstacle, once I get the foundation on paper, I'm good to go) I'm not good at organizing my thoughts and ideas. I've already gathered some books and articles, just not sure what I should be focusing in on.
