I am searching for a poem that I read years ago. The first paragraph had a line similar to " didn't get to say goodbye" or "didn't have time to say goodbye"
I want to post a memorial in the newspaper for my sister. She was murdered 13 years ago while I lived 1000 miles away, therefore "I didn't have time to say Goodbye". I am still grieving her and this is real important to me.
If someone out there can tell me the name of it , the author or even the book, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you

I like reading John Grisham
I like the dark and graphic stuff of Poppy Z Brite
and also the unusual contemporary writings of Toby Litt
and some others which I can't think of at the moment...

I don't like to read books which have been made into movies and all that...

I'm willing to try something new if you recommend a good book to me, thanks!

Something I won't hear of otherwise, but u liked it so much u think others should read it.
Please keep it recent so I can get it.
p.s., if someone says Harry Potter or Dan Brown, I'll report them. I enjoy these very much, but that is NOT what I'm asking here. I'm looking 4 uncommon books.

And did you make a journal entry?

I've been a member for 3 years and have left hundreds of books in the wild for people to find. So far, only 33 have had journal entries. I wonder what kind of people find a book and don't follow up on the website to see where it's been.

I hope in the next genertion they fly off into different worlds and they do this candy thing from different universes then let the short guys own their own factories and have a gold ticket contest which would envolve all the different plants and folks on them would get a chance to come back to WILLY WONKAS FACTORY AND REMEMBER ONE OF THE WORLDS GREATEST CHILDERN'S AUTHORS.

What are some of your Favorite Time and/or Dimension Travel books?

I like the "Myth" books by Robert Aspirin.
The "Time Quartet" by Madeleine L'Engle
The Time Keeper Trilogy by Barbara Bartholomew

I ask, because books like these fascinate me. They all have such interesting views.

I have sent many letters, not manuscripts mind, via email. Just a brief, concise letter asking if they would be considerate enough to read one chapter. They don't bother to reply or send a computerised note saying "no". How on earth do new authors get through the barriers?

I read a book several years ago about a very young author who was still in high school. She wrote a vampire book and the characters ended up being real and they came and found her. I think her mom or some adult female died...and I think at the end she became a vampire. I'm pretty sure there were more in the series or more by the author...the real author of the book was very young as well. I remember a scene in a bar...and there was a fight. I seem to remember someone with a name like Tiger or something similar...I'm just trying to throw out everything that I think I remember in hopes that someone will know what book I'm talking about....if it helps, I remember that the actual book its self was small and narrow....Help, please. I read it so long ago but would love to read it again.

Tell me who is best, why they are the best, and which of their novels are the best. I vote for Steinbeck, with "East of Eden."
