I read a book several years ago about a very young author who was still in high school. She wrote a vampire book and the characters ended up being real and they came and found her. I think her mom or some adult female died...and I think at the end she became a vampire. I'm pretty sure there were more in the series or more by the author...the real author of the book was very young as well. I remember a scene in a bar...and there was a fight. I seem to remember someone with a name like Tiger or something similar...I'm just trying to throw out everything that I think I remember in hopes that someone will know what book I'm talking about....if it helps, I remember that the actual book its self was small and narrow....Help, please. I read it so long ago but would love to read it again.

I know for sure it was not Ann Rice. The real author was very young, like a prodigy. I think she was 13...

Literate Fashion Diva: Yes! That's it. I'm pretty sure I read both of those and want to read them again. It cracks me up that the only author anyone else could come up with was Rice just because I mentioned vampires. This book is not like Interview with a Vampire at all outside of the fact that they both have vampires. Thanks for your help!

I would have to say Anne Rice, but there was a famous case like that a few yrs ago, where the Boy friend Was a self sanguiner(spelling) and killed the parents and sister and the hole gang og them are now doing life in prison for it, but I don't think she was a writer

Your best bet would be Anne Rice, a well known vampire author. Other than that I wouldn't know.

sounds abit too shallow to be Anne Rice but it has that ugly hollywoodian stench. Maybe that writer girl wished it would turn into a movie.
sorry, wish I could help
