I have an idea for a new written project in which the protagonist must have questionable moral fibre but not be instantly unlikeable, or roguishly appealing either.

What is the best way of accomplishing this? And if they are to die, how can I make them finally redeem themselves without it seeming 'corny'? Is it perhaps best for them to remain unchanged by the events of their story and, if so, does this make them automatically villianous?

Thanks!

When someone's sense of spirituality is so great that it acts to push that person to self discipline, self-criticism and therefore, at its presence make the individual be efficiently moral... could it in the end be more powerful that the rules a religion imposes?

Isn't it true that when someone is moral out of own ethical judgements, it holds more value than if someone does it out of fear that he will be punished if he does not obey the rules?

Where should the emphasis lie? in truly believeing that the morals we follow are ethically correct? or in being accepted in a religious society in which morals are shared, and if u follow them, then you were in the right?

I myself never thought of myself as being very religious, but my sense of right/wrong and living life in line with nature peacefully, respect and love is far more sensitively developed than a lot of ppl who claim to be religious around me.... would you classify that as spiritual?

I awoke from sleep last night
And saw shimmering in my bed
A firefly, a beautiful firefly
This is what he said
Come follow me Oh Human
Come journey in the nightland
This is what I did
Please don't ask my why
I took my hand and squashed that bug
And then went back to dreamland.

In what circumstances would you allow another to learn a life lesson on their own rather than giving them the answer?

I know the year/place I was born, but I don't know the actual day or time. I also want an original copy of my birth certificate with my foot prints on them. I just want to know if I had to go to Columbia, SC to find out that information and how much will it cost.

send me!
you send things that are not of my mind
or spirit.. ideas not of a righteous mind...
you try do cause me suffering and misery.
Are you trying to get my angry and sore.
Your tactics affect me no more.
I only give back to you what you send onto me. Bother me and you get just as sore
As you make me if your power works at all.
If hell has no fury to you then may you fall
Into whatever cause you the most misery & pain Cause you trying to be driving me insane!
You're just a nasty nuisance a bother.
On a humanity your a blight a disdain
Whatever you send me may you suffer
Your tactic though evil are extremy lame
I refuse to be affected by whatever power
You that You Use I'm not playing your game!
What do you bother person(s) for
Seems you want to make us sore
Why and what do you do this for?
Are You trying to get hate galore?
You seem to be a demonic horror
I'm not playing your game anymore!

Knowledge

Mind, a beautiful spider, is at work.
It has woven a deadly trap.

Perceptions are painting the walls of reality,
Everyone known to me breathe predictably.
Just few sentences with them,
And, I start thinking about leaving.
World outside seems so boring,
It is mirroring my inside.

Everything smells alike,
When its not, somehow.
Life appears to be ugly,
Instead fingers pointing my own eyes.
My feet are running by themselves,
Is this really a still ground?

Reality blinded by explanations,
Or, is it my own mind?

am writting an essay about the role of art in todays society. Thought it is important to look at "society" first to answer this question.
