Westerners attempts to impose a social structure that is incompatible with other cultures. Buddhists, for example, are not interested in accumulating wealth in the same way that capitalist nations are. The attempt to force others to follow this model will result in conflict as it a direct attack on their philosophy and religious beliefs.

The West claims a right to religious freedom, however, it imposes religion and religious based models on other religions and cultures around the planet. This leads to conflict.

Well...
I think most people just have a habitual opinion on this. If you really step back and LOOK at the society in the western world, in the persective of history, you might recognize that there has never been such a diverse, unrestricted, and unpredictable a culture. In fact, I dont think its possible to give any universal rules about its character.
In fact this is the problem with most people, They really dont know where they belong, because there are no rules, they are never told what proper behavior means. The cultural 'elite' in the US range from anything to evangelical christain CEOs to porn stars to african american senators and to incarcerated cooking experts. All too confusing for us living in the west to understand.

But concerning what is being 'imposed' around the world...actually it is being embraced...and it is not our nonexistent 'society' that is being embraced but rather the concept of economic freedom, and all sorts of non-western people have associated their own bizzare culture on this which may not have anything to do with us, whether they think so or not.

So indeed, its important to think out what western 'society' actually is, and be honest about it. I would challenge and dare anyone to come up with any mainstream in this society, I deny that its possible, every culture in the west today is, in fact, a counter culture- and a counter culture against nothing at all.

The western model , as in John Wayne type western ,actually no longer exists .The west is no longer the west , but is modeled after some eastern secret society . We all sure miss the west and wish it would come back .But we've been told it's necessary to incorporate all the rest of the world into what used to be the west . We've been told it's not fair to keep it for ourselves , and that we have to share it with others , so we did .the others were greedy and took it all , and it's not there anymore . it's gone .Excuse me while I get on my horse and ride off into the sunset while singing my cowboy's lament . What ever is left is just an illusion perpetuated in the minds of those that won't give up their jealousy of a country that used to be the west.

look at international heritage in the course of sessions like the Crusades,or The Inquisition, and also you've your answer.each and every position that has been ruled over fullyyt by utilising their faith has been a real horror to behold, with very few exceptions. Even in in the present day's international we may be able to work out maximum individuals of the middle East, the position the entire idea of human rights is only a delusion. there will be relative peace on the exterior in a number of those international places no longer at warfare, yet even contained in the doubtless ordered societies there is an undercurrent of something far more beneficial vile.i will not imagine residing in a society ruled fullyyt by utilising the Dogmas of any of the Abrahamic religions, the least repulsive of them being Judaism,a minimum of in practice. yet even they could get extremely nasty at the same time as the prospect arises,Crucifixion everyone? the point being, our astounding wager for non violent co-life is provided in rather a lot fullyyt secular societies. If others prefer to draw close on to their historic myths and superstitions it truly is nice, yet they prefer to maintain it to themselves for the most section. Obama666

Well, judging by your statement "looking at the western model that is being imposed around the world", we live in a delusional, misinformed, collectivist society.

Consider the ideological presuppositions of modern culture in terms of its emphasis on rationalism, empiricism, and the ideaology of the ordering of culture through political constructs such as the nation state and economic constructs such as capitalism. Further, consider the sense of the human person that is engendered by modern culture, intensely subjective and characterized by extremes of individualism and collectivism. Finally, consider what the ultimate concerns of modern culture are all about and how these concerns have radicalized such things as politics and religion.

We live under a corporate oligarchy that keeps gaining more power. Especially, through globalism, wars, and the destruction of the middle class.
