Years ago on TV I saw some sort of news program about a gallery somewhere where the 'frames' of the 'paintings' were nothing more than windows that looked into studios where actors, or models would pose the paintings.. making each painting actually a real life tableau. Does anyone know of this gallery, or something similar? I find it very interesting

Thank you very much!

The court officer detours around my computer, and a boxload of other **** that turned up on the courtroom floor. Mom’s panty catalog has a table all to itself. Even m ole finger-painting is here, but they don’t seem to have bothered with my Nike Box. The ozone in court has a new, unhealthy crunch to it.
(I'm not sure about the meaning of the last sentence:"The ozone in court has a new, unhealthy crunch to it.")

Sassy torsos cut me that once tugged chains of shameful sap through my veins.
(Does it mean that those torsos doesn't stimulate me anymore?)

Men hardened by the friction of learning, steel men of savvy quietly applied, crusty ole boys of rough-hewn glory, probably smoke a lonely cigarette in their cells during lunch breaks from court.
1-what do you understand from"Men hardened by the friction of learning"
2- what does "steel men of savvy quietly applied" mean?
Thank you.

In other words, if the Allies hadn't won World War I, what would the world be like? Did World War I cause World War II? What do schools teach kids in history class about this war? Anything else I should know?

If you could direct me to any helpful sites, that would also be great.

Thank you in advance!

I have been reading stories by author Henry James for my own pleasure. What do you think is so unique about James? What about his use of symbolism or viewpoints?

I want to hear them.

I'm talking about progress in terms of ethics and politcs, rather than in areas such as science and technology where progress is self-evident.

My dream is to become a true author as my occupation. I have an excellent manuscript for my first book and like any first time entry, I am finding it very difficult to even get a literary representative to give me the time of day. That's without the agents even reading what I have written. If anyone can tell me what you have done in the same circumstance or if you are a literary agent and want an outstanding historical fiction to represent, then write me back.
I know this is the customary way to start out but hey it's worth a try! :)

i bought some disposable fujifilm waterproof cameras online and when they came, I noticed that the exp. date on them is 5/2005. I wanted them for our trip to hawaii and probably don't want to take any chances on my pics not turning out. I can't return them, though, and wondered if I should even bother using them. Does anyone know anything about film that could let me know if they are worth using two years after the expiration? Should I use them, donate them, or toss them and count it as lesson learned?
