"Live" Paintings?

Years ago on TV I saw some sort of news program about a gallery somewhere where the 'frames' of the 'paintings' were nothing more than windows that looked into studios where actors, or models would pose the paintings.. making each painting actually a real life tableau. Does anyone know of this gallery, or something similar? I find it very interesting

The Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, California features tableau vivant on stage every summer. It is very popular.
