Hello Everyone,
I'v been entered into an art contest and I need a title for my art work. My art work is made with pastel colors and is a portrait of myself. This portrait is also completely made up of vegtables, as requested of us by our art teacher. It is illustrated as if my face were lettuse, hair were celery and so on. If you would like to get a better idea of how this looks, look up vegetable portrait on yahoo, there have been several artist before who were famous for this work. Please, if you have any ideas for a title let me know, the competition is on the 24th , wish me luck, and thank you for your help.

What is the process of taking a canvas painting and making a print in order to sell? As inexpensively as possible, too...

1 - Can I take a CD of scans or digital photos to kinkos (or staples) to make copies? If not, where else (I do not own a printer)?

2 - What kind of paper should I be looking into? Please be as specific as possible

Any advice would be great. Thanks! ;-)

I recently took a picture of the full moon with my digital camera and there is a double moon effect going on; the moon all big and bright with a faint reflection-like moon down and to the left. I don't know how this happened because my flash was off. Is it a reflection in my lens, or is something else going on?

I mean I love Harry potter and of course many other books. But why don't others? Reading makes me feel, oh I'm not sure, kind of light. Tell me stories of why you love reading. And please keep it short I don't want to read paragraphs and paragraphs.Thanks.

If you really think about it, isn't the concept of white-lying a bit arrogant, in fact a lot arrogant?

The way I understand it the idea of a white lie is to protect the other person from emotional harm. Right? Well, doesn't that require knowing exactly what the other person is thinking along with being able to predict the future?

I certainly can't do either of those things, and I'm a megalomaniac.

I think at one level most of us can accept that the truth will most likely come out eventually anyway, as it indeed does. I think that most people would also accept that when that truth does emerge later, it is much more embarrassing ADDING to the emotional damage but yet we can't seem to rid ourselves of our inability to take this into account when we are making up our lies.

What do you think?

A winter's day in a deep and dark December;
I am alone.
Gazing from my window to the streets below.
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.
I am a rock, I am an island.
I've build walls, a fortress deep and mighty,
that none may penetrate.
I have no need of friendship, friendship causes pain.
It's laughter and it's loving I disdain.
I am a rock, I am an island.
Don't talk of love; I've heard the word before;
it's sleeping in my memory.
I won't disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.
If I never loved I never would have cried.
I am a rock, I am an island.
I have my books, and my poetry to protect me;
I am shielded in my armour,
hiding in my room, safe within my womb.
I touch no one and no one touches me.
I am a rock, I am an island.
And a rock feels no pain. And an island never cries

Does anything stand out from it? I can't tell what the extended metaphor is directly all help would be helpfull thanks
