My HP digital camera recently died and I am in the market for a new camera. My boyfriend an I aren’t professional photographers so we don’t need something too nice, but we are looking for some specific things. We are very active and outdoorsy so we’re interested in a camera that can take video and won’t shatter like an eggshell when hiking. I’m also looking for something that has different functions depending on the environment. Our photos in the snow tend to look awful, and we had some problems with lighting on sand also. I’ve also heard that some companies offer underwater kits for their digital camera. I’ve done some checking online, and tried some in the stores, but photos in Wal-Mart and photos on top of a mountain or in dense underbrush are two totally different things. I hoped that experience from real people using cameras in the real world would be a little more useful. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

For 45 years I make pen and ink drawings.
So far till today it looks like the world don't see it as a complete art form.
Its always seen as a way of sketching and not at a final product.
Have more people that experience?

No this is not homework, and yes I be happy to look it up if someone would give a starting point.

A wine bar debate from the other night - does high quality, well written erotic fiction exist that would titilate but not turn off conservative Christian wives. My opinion is that women are beautiful sexual beings, that conservative Christian women in monogamous relationships are sexually robust, and that someone surely has written good erotica for this audience. Can anyone help prove my point?

I'm not ranting. I just want to know why, and for the HP fans to defend their favorite series as why or how come is so good or so fabulous, and for detractors to say why it's just so-so material.

What's the term for going back in time/history? Do you believe that we're able to rewind time in another realm, meaning this world consists of many realms differentiated by different periods of time?

Does anyone know of any websites that critique, peer review, edit, or otherwise offer feedback on written works, fan fiction or original? One of the obstacles I'm facing these days is that none of my friends or relatives are writers/readers, none of them are critical enough, and none of them know enough about my chosen genre to give any sort of useful advice. So I feel funny, and sort of bad, for giving them stuff to critique (the last thing I'm sure they want is more work to do). Does anyone know of any resources that offer a sort of feedback/critique service? I've looked through the other answers, but the websites are either defunct or don't offer this service in a clear manner (I have no idea how to navigate writing.com to get this service).

Non-fiction, self help, classics, biographies are good.
But NO fantasy stories or romantic novels like those Gossip Girl series.

Thanks in advance! :-)
